Gambart è un cratere lunare di 24,68 km situato nella parte nord-occidentale della faccia visibile della Luna, nel Mare Insularum. Si trova a sud-sudest del grande cratere Copernico. A sudovest del cratere è presente una regione di terreno collinoso depositato dal materiale espulso durante l'impatto che ha formato il Mare Imbrium.
In passato il fondo del cratere è stato inondato dalla lava, che ha lasciato una superficie relativamente piatta circondata da un bordo esterno liscio e a forma vagamente poligonale. A sudovest di 'Gambart C' è presente un vulcano a scudo.
Il cratere è dedicato all'astronomo francese Jean-Félix Adolphe Gambart.
A nordest atterrò la sonda Surveyor 2.
