I moderni sostenitori di questa falsa terapia sottolineano come nei funghi siano contenute varie sostanze che potrebbero avere effetti curativi. L'affermazione è solitamente generica e cita nomi di sostanze normalmente presenti nella maggior parte degli alimenti.

In realtà i funghi contengono una grande quantità di sostanze che variano in base all'ambiente circostante, decomponendo la materia organica già presente. E' possibile che alcune varietà contengano sostanze chimiche le quali possono essere utilizzate dall'industria farmaceutica, ma affermare che la consumazione alimentare diretta possa avere effetti terapeutici è del tutto arbitraria.

perché essenzialmente sono toni da forum, con affermazioni che valgono in generale per tutte le pseudoscienze, e non supportate da fonti (i vari citazione necessaria). Il link al CICAP l'ho tolto perché la pagina non parla di micoterapia, se ci fosse qualcosa di più specifico.

Per come la vedo io, la voce dovrebbe contenere:

  • Cos'è la micoterapia, chi la pratica, cosa afferma (il tutto supportato da fonti). Immagino che si vada oltre il "mangiando dei funghi si guarisce". Se è un'antichissima pratica cinese, evidentemente avrà una sezione storia non vuota.
  • Le critiche, che però devono essere specifiche. È giusto indicare che è una pseudoscienza, se il CICAP lo ha affermato che si citi dove e quando. Se esiste uno studio che spiega perché il fungo X cura la malattia Y (perché contiene la sostanza Z, molto probabilmente), che lo si citi. Se esiste un altro studio che spiega che il fungo XX non cura la malattia YY, che lo si citi.

Dicendo non c'è che alcuna prova è una menzogna. Guardare la versione inglese di questa pagina su 230 riferimenti al lavoro accademico pubblicato sono inclusi! Ci sono grande ricerca usa le istituzioni e gli ospedali citato come essere interessato a questo argomento. Il punto di questa pagina non è dire funghi sono cure magiche per nulla. Il punto è di includere ricerca e far conoscere sulla storia e la scienza moderna dietro questo concetto.
